Job Title: Care Manager

Job Overview 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to source for care users as well as lead and oversee our domiciliary (home) care operations. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care delivery, managing a team of care professionals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and following up the process to acquire Care Users

Care Quality & Compliance 

  • Ensure care services meet the requirements of Care Inspectorate standards. 
  • Regularly audit and monitor service delivery. 
  • Respond effectively to safeguarding concerns or complaints.

Team Leadership 

  • Recruit, train, and supervise care coordinators and support staff. 
  • Carry out regular performance reviews and staff appraisals. 
  • Maintain strong team morale and support ongoing development.

Operational Management 

  • Create and maintain care schedules that meet client needs. 
  • Manage rotas, travel logistics, and resource allocation efficiently. 
  • Ensure records are up-to-date and securely maintained.

Client Relations 

  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized care plans. 
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and families. 
  • Ensure consistent communication and satisfaction tracking. 

Regulatory & Financial Oversight 

  • Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and service costing. 
  • Liaise with local authorities and healthcare professionals. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections and audits. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • Proven experience in domiciliary care or healthcare management. 
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards); or a minimum of Level 3 SVQ qualification in Health & Social Care with Level 4 being desirable (or working towards it). 
  • Strong knowledge of Care Inspectorate regulations and relevant legislation. 
  • SSSC registration 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, time management. 
  • Goal oriented and disciplined. 
  • Proficient in digital care management systems and Microsoft Office. 
  • PVG will be required before the appointment.

  • Passionate about providing compassionate care and the ability to lead by example. 
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills. 
  • Calm under pressure, with a proactive mindset.
